Goal-Oriented AI Behaviors in Project Origin

As the release date of F.E.A.R. 2 gets closer, Monolith is cranking out promotional content for the game. In particular, here’s a teaser about the artificial intelligence in the game.

The original game F.E.A.R. was based on goal-oriented action planning technology, in fact, it became famous for its use of the STRIPS algorithm which Jeff Orkin pioneered. You can even look into the code itself by looking at the F.E.A.R. SDK.

It looks very impressive. I particularly enjoyed the movable cover feature, i don't remember seeing that feature anywhere else. Will most def pick up a demo. Thanks for the heads up.
